When potential clients visit ASCEND for the first time, they come to talk with one of our members of staff, qualified in giving information and advice. This confidential meeting looks at their life goals including support to apply for jobs, training interests, whether they need to access any other services we or our partners offer or if we can signpost them to other agencies such as the local CVS, West Herts College etc. This way, our clients are involved in making informed choices and are therefore more likely to succeed in any chosen pathways.
ASCEND was the first project in Hertfordshire to have gained accreditation for its information, advice and guidance services. Since then it has been re-accredited five times with the MATRIX standard.
